PathForeWord is a custom freelance writing service. Recent projects include ghostwriting for a digital marketing agency (client blogs and rich content on: nonprofit and political fundraising campaigns, association marketing and leadership, watchdog journalism, real estate, optometry, personal safety equipment manufacturing, and home remodeling), amateur radio blog writing for a major manufacturer, eBook writing on performance management for an HR technology company, summaries of best selling nonfiction books, and communication consulting for a large nonprofit. We also work with clients on their resumes and cover letters as a key part of their job search process.
The founder of PathForeWord is Jim Wilson, a retired publishing and communication executive, who has chosen to “re-wire” rather than retire and to do so via a career encore around writing and consulting projects. His expertise covers a broad range of topics from working in electronics and computer technology in his early career; to teaching, writing, and training development in mid-career; to more than two decades of leadership responsibilities in publishing project development and communication initiatives for the Boy Scouts of America.
Along the way, consistent with his concept of life-long learning, he earned a BAS in Electronics at age 35, MA in Management at 37, MBA in Finance at 42, and added a Marketing concentration at 47. Today he’s engaged with MOOCs, Massive Open Online Courses, learning about Design Thinking, Content Strategy, and more.
Jim has written extensively on amateur radio, electronics technology, leadership, career development, and the job search process, as well as the treatment of autism through early behavioral intervention. He is rated in the top 10% on Upwork, the online freelance marketplace, for online writing, business writing, report writing, technical writing, resume writing, and Internet marketing. You can find a portfolio of his work on this site at www.PathForeWord/Portfolio/
He also gives back to the community through volunteer activities as the USA National Jamboree on the Air Organizer and Chairman of the National Radio Scouting Committee for the Boy Scouts of America, and serves as the President of the K2BSA Amateur Radio Association. He also serves on the World Scouting Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet Team, which was formed in 2014 to reinvigorate the largest Scouting event in the world.
He writes this blog and www.K5ND.blog on amateur radio topics.
